Your role purpose

As a dedicated HSE Manager, your mission is to champion a culture of safety excellence by leading behavior-based initiatives, conducting thorough audits, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

And committed to fostering collaboration, implementing proactive risk assessments, and driving continuous improvement to uphold the highest standards of workplace safety and health.

Your Essential Duties and Responsiblities

  • Focus on achieving the highest levels of HSE performance through behavior-base initiatives, auditing, mentoring and expeditiously implementing change
  • Encourages and enforces a safety culture within the company by providing a strong facility presence
  • Lead and coordinate the health duties
  • Conducts internal/supplier HSE audits in ISO 45001 and 14001
  • Support in external audits with the certification body
  • Liaising with staff, internal stakeholders, consultants, owners and other relevant third parties with regards to safety issues
  • Involve in plant EHS risk assessment (Environmental Aspect and Impact Register) periodically
  • Ensure that the workplace is monitored and is fully in compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, rules and regulations in order to maintain safety in manufacturing facilities
  • Ensure that Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions are maintained, and communicated to employees
  • Ensure the results of safety inspections are documented; monitoring the investigation of accidents and injuries; ensuring that corrective actions are taken; and providing recommendations for ways to prevent similar accidents
  • To highlight areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by local Legislation
  • Ensure that an adequate program of training for health and safety is established and that the safety culture is encouraged amongst employees
  • Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Management, any relevant new legislation
  • Ensure that all assessments as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same, such as in emergency
  • Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports of all the company's operations
  • .Carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and to record the findings on the relevant forms
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics to HQ.

Competencies and/or Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields
  • HS Qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • Able to communicate orally and written in English
  • Experience in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Qualified internal auditor for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically
  • Good public speaking skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Knowledge and background on Quality Management System (e.g.: ISO 9001) applied to job position's task and responsibilities
  • 10 years HSE experience in a Manufacturing environment.
