Our client is a US packaging manufacturer, is looking for an HR Supervisor - a new role for their business.
Manufacturing of flower pot bags made from Kraft paper, metallic film, and plastic film; manufacturing of packaging bags for plants and flowers made from Kraft paper.

HR SUPERVISOR (SEDEX SMETA experience)
- Report to Country Manager
- Working independently (managing 3rd party staffing and payroll, headhunt)
- Salary: 30,000,000 - 35,000,000 Gross/Month or Negotiable
- Location: Hai Son Industrial Zone, Duc Hoa, Long An (No shuttle bus)
- Working time: 8:00-17:00 from Mon to Sat, having 2 Saturdays off per month
1. PROFILE DESCRIPTION

Experience:
The HR Supervisor is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the company's SEDEX management system to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. This role focuses on controlling and maintaining the stability of the HR system and ensuring alignment with group policies.
2. MISSION
To manage and oversee all human resources activities of the packaging manufacturing plant/company to ensure a stable workforce aligned with production plans, compliance with labour laws, the establishment of a safe working environment, and support for the company's long-term development strategy.
3. ESPONSIBILITY
HR Planning & Strategy
- Develop HR strategies aligned with production plans and factory expansion.
- Please prepare for the workforce planning for office staff and production workers.
- Develop organisational charts and R&R (job descriptions) for all positions
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Prepare recruitment plans for operators, technicians, QA/QC, maintenance staff, and office employees.
- Manage recruitment processes, interviews, and candidate evaluations
- Organise onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
Training & Development
- Identify training needs in skills, occupational safety, 5S, Lean, SEDEX, SMETA and ISO.
- Coordinate with departments to develop internal training programs.
- Evaluate training effectiveness.
Compensation & Benefits
- Develop salary structures and salary scales for production and office staff.
- Manage timekeeping, payroll, overtime, and shift arrangements.
- Handle social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and personal income tax.
- Propose productivity bonus and KPI-based incentive policies.
Employee Relations
- Draft and manage labour contracts, internal labour regulations, and company policies.
- Handle disciplinary actions, complaints, and labour disputes.
- Build and promote corporate culture.
Legal Compliance & Occupational Safety
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, occupational health & safety, fire prevention & fighting, and environmental regulations.
- Work with authorities during inspections and audits.
- Manage and prepare annual environmental reports in accordance with local regulations.
- Coordinate and prepare SEDEX / SMETA audit reports and related documentation.
- Prepare and submit periodic labour status reports to the relevant authorities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of HR experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role in a manufacturing environment. Preference for candidates with experience in packaging, printing, plastics, or paper industries.
- Good knowledge of Vietnamese labour laws.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and English
- Experience in building and implementing SEDEX (SMETA) compliance systems (must have)
