SCOPE OF WORK
The HR Manager, Gaming Operations will work closely with the VP, HR and Gaming Operations leadership to ensure effective workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, performance management, employee engagement and HR compliance.
The position will act as a trusted HR Business Partner, supporting business needs while ensuring alignment with Hoiana's HR policies, standards and applicable labor regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
HRBP & Strategic HR Support
- Act as the key HR Business Partner to Gaming Operations, providing practical HR advice and solutions aligned with operational and business requirements.
- Partner with leaders to understand business priorities, workforce challenges, manpower requirements to proactively identify HR priorities and solutions.
Workforce Planning & Manpower Management
- Develop and monitor workforce plans in line with business requirements, operational needs and approved manpower budgets.
- Monitor headcount, vacancies, turnover, absenteeism, internal transfers, promotions, manpower costs and productivity.
- Identify manpower gaps and workforce risks and provide recommendations to management.
Talent Acquisition & Talent Management
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to prioritize recruitment and ensure timely hiring for Gaming Operations.
- Support recruitment and selection for key, critical and management positions
- Support talent reviews, succession planning, career development, internal mobility and identification of high-potential talent, develop talent pipelines for current and future needs.
- Monitor recruitment effectiveness and recommend improvements to attract and retention.
- Support performance management, employee development and training initiatives based on business and capability needs.
Employee & Labor Relations
- Manage and support employee relations matters within Gaming Operations in a fair, consistent, professional manner and in compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances and workplace issues, support the investigation and resolution of employee and labor-related cases.
- Identify employee relations trends and recommend appropriate actions to management.
- Support retention, employee engagement, recognition and communication initiatives.
HR Policies, Compliance & Employee Experience
- Ensure HR policies, procedures and practices are effectively communicated and implemented within Gaming Operations.
- Provide guidance on employment-related matters and ensure compliance with Vietnamese labor laws and Hoiana policies and standards.
- Support initiatives that enhance employee experience and workplace effectiveness.
HR Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare regular HR reports and management updates for the VP, HR and Gaming Operations leadership.
- Track and analyze key HR indicators, including headcount, vacancies, turnover, absenteeism, overtime, internal transfers, promotions, manpower costs, performance management, and other indicators to provide data-driven insights to support management decision-making.
Stakeholder Management & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships with Gaming Operations leaders, HR team members and other key stakeholders.
- Represent HR professionally in meetings, discussions and operational matters involving Gaming Operations.
- Support effective communication between HR and Gaming Operations to ensure timely resolution of people-related matters.
Other Responsibilities
- Support the VP, HR in special projects, HR initiatives and organizational changes as assigned.
- Participate in HR transformation, process improvement and workforce optimization projects.
- Provide HR support during major business activities, operational changes and urgent workforce-related matters.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the VP, HR.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in HRBP, HR Operations or HR Management.
- Experience in hospitality, casino/gaming, resort, entertainment or other large-scale operational environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee & labor relations, performance management, engagement, retention and HR compliance.
- Good knowledge of Vietnamese labor laws and employment regulations.
- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical HR solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, stakeholder management, leadership and influencing skills.
- High integrity, confidentiality, professionalism and sound judgment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural and 24/7 operational environment.
- Good command of written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems; strong HR reporting and data analysis skills preferred.
