About The Opportunity
On behalf of our international client , we are hiring an HR Lead to support them setting-up, building and managing HR functions from the ground in Vietnam. Our client is operating in the agriculture and manufacturing sector.
As a key leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, making sure the company's operation aligns with Vietnamese labor laws while supporting business growth through effective workforce planning and people management. The position requires a balance of operational execution and strategic input, working closely with management to build a structured, compliant, and people-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Leadership and Operations
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with business needs
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and talent development processes
- Oversee payroll coordination, timekeeping, and employee records management
- Supervise HR support staff and ensure accuracy of HR documentation
- Partner with management on workforce planning and headcount strategy
- Compliance and Governance
- Ensure full compliance with Vietnamese labor laws, social insurance, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain proper employment contracts, documentation, and reporting
- Establish and monitor HR governance structures and internal processes
- Track HR metrics, KPIs, and reporting to support management decision-making
- Coordinate with external parties where required for compliance and advisory
- Employee Relations and Workplace Culture
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives
- Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
- Support performance management and development planning
- Implement recognition and welfare programs to support employee well-being
- Health, Safety, and Workforce Support
- Support workplace health and safety initiatives in line with local regulations
- Coordinate basic employee health and welfare programs
- Ensure proper handling of workplace incidents and compliance requirements
- Promote a safe and productive working environment
Requirements
Job Requirements
Technical Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with leadership exposure in Vietnam
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese labor law, payroll, and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to work with management and cross-functional teams
- Experience in multinational or multi-entity environments is preferred
- Advanced degree or HR certification (SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is a plus
Soft Skills
- Bilingual fluency: Native Vietnamese and Professional English is a must
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
