Purposes:
Serve as the HR contact for all operational HR matters at AkzoNobel - Bac Ninh site, aligned with business and HR objectives, and manage talent acquisition for North Vietnam.
Responsibilities:
1. Employee Lifecycle Management:
Coach and support managers in executing annual HR processes (performance, talent management, rewards, etc.).
Guide managers to relevant HR resources (People Services, CoEs) as needed.
Advise managers on recruitment, development, and restructuring decisions.
Support managers with employee issues, including performance and absence management.
Coordinate with Regional Rewards CoE on pay and reward discussions.
Identify and address learning and development needs with regional partners.
Implement global learning initiatives locally.
Help managers identify and develop talent, ensuring succession planning.
Drive employee engagement and support communication and local events.
Model company values and leadership behaviors.
2. Operational Excellence:
Support or lead initiatives for process standardization and improvement.
Ensure implementation of global HR processes.
Educate managers and employees on the HR Operating Model.
Address data inaccuracies and drive data quality improvements.
Promote use of HR self-service tools; handle transactional HR issues.
Act as a local representative for CoE services (training, rewards).
Gather and share feedback to improve HR services.
3. Compliance:
Ensure adherence to local labor laws and HR policies, consulting legal advisors as needed.
Promote the AkzoNobel Speak Up process and assist with investigations.
Manage local labor relations (unions, councils).
Advise on employee relations and labor disputes.
Participate in internal and external HR audits.
Provide input for internal compliance processes.
4. Talent Acquisition:
Manage end-to-end recruitment activities in North Vietnam.
5. Others:
Perform additional duties as required to support smooth HR operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required.
At least 5 years HR generalist experience; MNC experience preferred.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Strong knowledge of Vietnam labor law.
