Hotel Manager – BOMA Resort Nha Trang
Location: Nha Trang, Vietnam
Employer: BOMA Resort Nha Trang
Recruitment by: SODÅ Hospitality Partner (on behalf of our partner)
SODÅ Hospitality Partner is recruiting a Hotel Manager on behalf of our client, BOMA Resort Nha Trang, a boutique lifestyle resort set on the Nha Trang bayfront, Vietnam. The Hotel Manager will oversee all day‑to‑day operations, lead the on‑property leadership team, and report directly to the Chief Operations Officer/Owner. The role is highly visible and hands‑on: you will be present across all guest areas, shape the resort's ambience and brand feel, and ensure a seamless end‑to‑end guest journey from arrival to departure while driving service excellence, operational efficiency and strong financial performance.
The Role
The Hotel Manager is the operational leader of the resort and the visible face of the property on the floor. You will shape the resort's ambience and brand feel, drive service standards, and ensure a seamless guest journey from arrival to departure. The position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer/Owner.
Reporting Lines
The Hotel Manager has direct operational responsibility for and line‑manages:
- Front Office
- Housekeeping
- Food & Beverage (single outlet including restaurant, bar, breakfast buffet, room service and events/banquets)
- Engineering / Maintenance
- Human Resources
The Hotel Manager works closely with, but does not directly manage:
- Finance (stewardship, budgeting and cost control in coordination with the Owner/Finance)
- Sales & Marketing (commercial strategy and delivery led by the Sales & Marketing leadership, with operational support from the Hotel Manager)
Key responsibilities
- Lead the day‑to‑day resort operation, ensuring excellent service, guest satisfaction and efficient cost control across all departments reporting to you.
- Maintain a strong floor presence in key guest areas (arrival, lobby, pool, restaurant, events), actively engaging with guests and resolving issues in real time.
- Implement and uphold operational standards, SOPs and quality systems, including guest feedback and audit action plans.
- Collaborate with the ownership and Finance on budgeting, cost stewardship, and financial performance, ensuring operational discipline while Finance reports directly to the Owner.
- Partner with Sales & Marketing to ensure commercial commitments (rates, packages, groups, events) are operationally deliverable and executed to standard, while they retain commercial reporting lines.
- Work closely with HR (which reports to you) to plan manpower, recruitment, training and development in line with operational needs and brand standards.
- Guide and develop your Heads of Department, building a performance‑driven, guest‑focused culture aligned with the resort's brand and values.
- Oversee safety, security and risk‑management procedures across the operation, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
What we're looking for
- Senior hotel operations leader with 8+ years of experience in 4–5 star hotels or resorts, including multi‑department responsibility.
- Proven background with an international hotel operator or brand, with strong exposure to standards, systems and management reporting.
- Solid working experience in Vietnam; additional overseas experience in branded hotels or resorts is a strong advantage.
- Hands‑on, guest‑facing style – comfortable being highly visible in the operation and leading from the floor.
- Strong people leadership, coaching and service‑recovery skills, with a track record of lifting guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Vietnamese language is an advantage.
