Job Description
The Head of Vietnam will be responsible for establishing, leading, and growing the firm's Vietnam operations. This is a strategic leadership role combining legal excellence, business development, regulatory oversight, and operational setup.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and managing the firm's Hanoi office
- Acting as the primary legal representative in Vietnam
- Ensuring compliance with all local legal and regulatory requirements
- Developing and executing market entry and growth strategies
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local and international clients
- Driving business development initiatives and identifying new revenue opportunities
- Recruiting, mentoring, and leading a high-performing local team over time
- Collaborating closely with regional and international leadership
As the inaugural hire in Vietnam, this role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to operate independently while aligning with global firm standards.
The Successful Applicant
- A qualified Vietnamese lawyer (mandatory) with a current practising certificate
- A senior legal professional with substantial post-qualification experience
- Ideally experienced in intellectual property law, corporate/commercial law, or cross-border legal services
- Experienced in client relationship management and business development
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience building or managing teams preferred
- Commercially astute, strategic, and capable of operating at executive level
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English
