We are looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to join our executive team and lead our Engineering department.
As the Head of Engineering, you will oversee a talented team of 40+ professionals, including software engineers, testers, data scientists, and scrum masters. You will lead a culture of agile practices and delivery management, ensuring efficient and high-quality product releases. You will own and evolve our technology stack which is currently AWS, microservices design, PHP/Node.js for back end and React.js for front end.

What you'll be responsible for
- Develop and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with organizational goals and business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of ownership, agility, and continuous innovation.
- Champion the adoption of agile methodologies such as Scrum by transitioning traditional project management roles to Scrum Masters or Delivery Managers to optimize team performance.
- Oversee and continuously enhance the technology stack, including AWS cloud services, microservice architecture, PHP/Node.js for backend, and React.js for frontend development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to deliver impactful, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
- Ensure timely delivery of customer-centric products while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Manage technology budgets, support cost optimization efforts, and participate in vendor negotiations when required.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 7 years in leadership roles, including managing managers.
- Proven expertise in public cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience in applying agile practices such as Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, and DevOps.
- Strong skills in system design, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in technology investment planning and business case development.
- Proficient in project management, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal communication.
