A leading regional financial institution is seeking a Head of Structured Finance to act as its most senior subject-matter expert for complex and bespoke financing solutions. This role is advisory-led and sits at the centre of large transactions across corporate banking, capital markets, and the broader banking ecosystem.
The successful candidate will play a key role in executing high-impact transactions while building structured finance as a long-term institutional capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and advise on large and complex structured finance transactions, including project finance, securitisation, syndications, and equity-linked structures
- Partner with corporate bankers to originate, evaluate, and execute bespoke financing solutions
- Provide senior-level technical guidance on deal structuring, risk allocation, and execution
- Work closely with Coverage, ECM, DCM, Risk, and Treasury teams to deliver integrated financing solutions
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior clients and internal leadership on financing strategy and risk mitigation
- Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, multilaterals, export credit agencies, and government stakeholders
- Drive knowledge transfer and capability building across teams, strengthening structured finance expertise bank-wide
- Represent the institution in market dialogues and industry forums, enhancing its structured finance profile
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, or related discipline
- Master's degree, CFA, or FRM preferred
- Minimum 15 years experience in structured finance, investment banking, or project finance
- Strong exposure across corporate banking and capital markets
- Deep technical expertise in structured products, project finance, and risk frameworks
- Proven track record in executing complex, landmark transactions, ideally in emerging markets
- Credibility with senior clients, institutional investors, multilaterals, and regulators
- Strategic, collaborative, and commercially minded leader
