Position Summary
The Strategy Director will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the company's long-term growth agenda. This position will lead corporate strategy, corporate development, and value-creation initiatives, with a strong focus on end-to-end M&A execution, fundraising, and strategic transformation, while also working closely with business units on hands-on operational initiatives.
The role requires a strong background in investment banking and/or corporate development, combined with the ability to translate strategy into execution within a fast-growing F&B manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Strategy & Business Growth
- Lead the development and execution of the company's long-term corporate strategy, aligned with shareholder and business objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities across new markets, products, channels, and business models within the F&B manufacturing ecosystem.
- Drive strategic planning cycles, including annual and multi-year business plans.
M&A and Corporate Development
- Lead end-to-end M&A transactions, including target screening, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and post-merger integration.
- Evaluate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and inorganic growth opportunities.
- Prepare and review financial models, investment cases, and valuation analyses to support investment decisions.
Fundraising & Capital Strategy
- Support fundraising initiatives, including equity, debt, and structured financing.
- Work closely with shareholders, investors, banks, and financial advisors to optimize capital structure.
- Prepare investor materials, management presentations, and board-level documentation.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Conduct in-depth market research, industry analysis, and competitor benchmarking to inform strategic direction.
- Monitor macroeconomic trends, consumer behavior, and regulatory developments relevant to the company's industries
Strategic Projects & Operations Support
- Lead cross-functional strategic projects from concept to execution, ensuring measurable business impact.
- Partner closely with operations, commercial, supply chain, and finance teams to drive operational improvements and performance enhancement initiatives.
- Support execution during post-M&A integration or major transformation programs.
Stakeholder Management & Governance
- Act as a key strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Prepare and present strategic updates, investment proposals, and performance reports to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
- Establish KPIs to track strategic initiatives and ensure accountability.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is strongly preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, strategy consulting with strong exposure to M&A and fundraising.
- Proven track record of leading end-to-end M&A transactions and complex strategic projects.
- Experience working with or within manufacturing, consumer, retail, healthcare, financial services is highly advantageous.
- Prior exposure to fast-growing or transformation-stage organizations is a plus.
