Main Responsibilities
Source of Asia is organized by Operational Business Units (Sourcing & Supply Chain / Market Expansion / Corporate Services), supported by cross-department Business Units (Strategy / Business Transformation / Marketing & Communication / Internal).
Each business unit is sequenced by division, with the objective to sustainably grow excellence for each division across.
The Head of Sourcing & Supply Chain Consulting is empowered to sustainably structure the growth of the Sourcing department's Consulting division. This position is the result of the growth of Consulting & Advisory activities within the Sourcing Department, and aims at creating added value by improving the processes, reports, as well as grow the resources, tools, and finally set a vision for its evolution.
Reporting directly to our COO, also former Sourcing Director & one of the 3 shareholders of the company, the Head of Sourcing & Supply Chain Consulting will be one of the leaders of the department, in a duo with the Head of Sourcing & Supply Chain Operations.
A Sourcing Director will be nominated in a mid-term future (up to 1year), after solid foundations are set by the 2 heads, and could be one of the evolutions for the Head.
The successful candidate will oversee and guide a team of 4 people (growing), including a cross-management (1 x merchandiser) toward suitable sourcing strategies, operations excellency, partner's management, continuous improvement, and innovative systems. This is intended to drive the growth, stability, professionalism, and expertise of the Sourcing Department.
The role requires strong leadership skills, with excellent team management, communication, team work,and negotiation skills, as well as a robust comprehension of supply chain management, and innovative analytical skills.
As part of the Head's team, collaboration among others, common projects, and task force to contribute to the company growth will be at the heart of success.
MANAGEMENT
- Define, organize, and lead the consulting's team to aim for excellence.
- Actively participates in team to influence decisions.
- Set ambitious & achievable goals for the team, and actively participate by providing direction & coaching to achieve them.
- Personify self-development by showing eagerness to learn, and capacity to share, creating & nurturing self-evolution within the team.
BUSINESS
- Set standards & best practices for sourcing missions / industrial set up / consulting missions.
- Evaluate & follow the efficiency of the division, following various metrics.
- Identify areas for enhancement and recommend appropriate actions for optimizing outcomes.
- Personally engage in critical projects and/ or collaborate with the team to perform.
- Supervise both selling & purchasing terms and conditions with 3rd parties, safeguarding the interests of SoA and clients.
COLLABORATIONS
- Representing SoA's brand & DNA in all collaborations.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships within & outside of SoA, acting as top point of contact.
- Implement & follow continuous evaluations on our external collaborations.
- Champions new ideas through the company with colleagues
- Track and assess partner's performances, identifying potential risks and suggesting effective communication and discussion strategies throughout the year.
EXCELLENCE

- Guarantees the efficiency of all sourcing operations while adhering to quality and timeline standards.
- Effectively oversee internal and/or external resources to ensure seamless sourcing and supply chain consulting missions

- Establish regular reporting using activity and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the team's achievements and suggest corrective measures.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to enhance the department's efficiency and play an active role in the company's advancement.
Requirements
Education:International Business School's master degree or equivalent.
Experience:
- Significant experience (ideally 5 years) in sourcing & supply chain management or consulting, with a preference for international exposure.
- Experience in collaborating with third parties on a strategic level (customers, suppliers, partners etc.)
- Proven track record in team management and fostering employee development.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management and sourcing processes.
- Expertise in some industries is expected.
- Ability to define and execute strategies while making well-informed decisions.
- Goal-driven mindset, capable of effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
