Role Description

To manage demand planning, inventory optimization, and risk mitigation strategies while driving cost efficiencies to support business growth and operational excellence.

Areas of Responsibility

1.    Team Leadership and Development

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to direct reports, including Planning Manager for Mono brands, Replenishment Analyst, Database Management Executive etc.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and develop talents, ensuring succession planning for key roles.

2.    Demand Planning and Replenishment:

  • Develop and manage accurate demand forecasts to align with sales and operational goals.
  • Oversee replenishment and supply management to ensure consistent stock availability.

3.    Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels to minimize holding costs while preventing stockouts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align inventory strategies with business priorities.

4.    Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks related to supply and demand fluctuations and implement mitigation plans.
  • Analyze market trends and performance data to adjust planning strategies proactively.

5.    Cost Efficiencies:

  • Develop and execute cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Ensure the effective utilization of resources to maintain operational cost-effectiveness.

6.    System & Support:

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for master data management, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct regular reviews of sales data, master data, and analytics to identify opportunities for process improvements and data-driven decision-making.
  • Utilize customer feedback and data analysis to understand customer preferences and make data-driven decisions regarding product offerings.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate category performance, trends, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with IT and relevant departments to enhance system functionalities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in planning, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing merchandising and logistics operations.
  • Experience in Retail industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic planning initiatives.
  • Experience in analyzing data, forecasting demand, and optimizing inventory levels.
  • Proficiency in using planning and forecasting tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
  • Experience in leading and managing teams.

  • Digital Proficiency: Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in planning and logistics, such as ERP systems, supply chain management software, and data analytics tools.
