Key Responsibilities
1. Legal Oversight & Strategic Advisory
Take full ownership of all legal matters across the Group, including contracts, intellectual property, litigation, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance:
- Manage day-to-day corporate legal issues, ensuring operational efficiency and legal soundness
- Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of a wide range of agreements including production contracts, talent agreements, licensing deals, and distribution agreements
- Monitor and communicate changes in legal and regulatory frameworks, particularly those affecting media production, broadcasting, content monetization, and data usage
- Guide the business in anticipating and mitigating legal risks, especially in the areas of defamation, IP infringement, and contractual obligations
- Collaborate with external counsel to manage litigation, arbitration, and settlements involving contractual disputes, IP issues, and reputational matters
2. Intellectual Property Management
- Strengthen the Group's IP framework by enhancing awareness and enforcement of copyright, trademark, and content rights
- Review and manage IP contracts and registration processes
- Promote internal training and awareness to mitigate IP infringement risks across all departments
3. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor a team of in-house lawyers and legal professionals, fostering a high-performance, business-aligned legal function
- Promote a proactive, collaborative culture that integrates legal insight early into business decision-making
- Ensure the legal team remains responsive, commercially minded, and aligned with the Group's growth trajectory
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law is required; Master's degree in Law, Business Law, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 10 - 13 years of progressive legal experience, with at least 5 years in a senior legal leadership role (in-house or at a law firm)
- Strong expertise in intellectual property law, including practical experience implementing IP protection frameworks
- Solid experience with Vietnamese litigation practices, including managing disputes and court procedures
- Familiarity with capital markets and securities law is a plus, especially regarding IPO processes, regulatory filings, information disclosure, and bond/international debt issuance
- Proven leadership experience, including team management and legal budget oversight
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Active lawyer membership status in Vietnam is a strong advantage
