Our client is a leading insurance company who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm:
In charge of leading the Compliance department to fulfill all functions and duties of the department
Consult, provide guidance, evaluate, manage, and monitor legal issues
Set out action plan, execute, and manage all compliance issues according to local laws and regulations and shareholders requirements
Establish, review, and consult about internal regulations to ensure legal fulfillment
Implement and manage compliance activities in alignment with shareholders requirements
Manage compliance violations, work with other departments to investigate compliance issues and propose appropriate solutions
Recognize potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; keep track of the implementation of corrective actions for existing problems and advise on preventive actions
Collaborate with other departments in identifying and responding to competent authorities on investigations or any non-compliance matters raised by competent authorities
Develop, monitor, and manage effectively Legal policies, regulations, procedures, and standards, amongst others
Update, analyze, and assess the influence of local laws and regulations on companys operation and provide guidance for involved parties
Organize effective training and communication program to improve staffs awareness and understanding of Legal requirements
Review and provide Legal advice on Company business documents and plans
Write, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with involved stakeholders
Work with external law firms and legal teams of shareholders to resolve legal request
Execute and manage the companys litigation-related matters and activities
Execute and manage the companys intellectual property protection related matters
Prepare agents contracts and agreements, monitor distribution channel compliance, and carry out training regarding insurance regulations for insurance agents
Report and update the BOD and shareholders on Legal and Compliance related matters on a regular basis
In charge of managing department personnel
Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors
Requirements
Excellent understanding of Compliance and Legal regulations, especially in the insurance industry
Ability to communicate and present effectively
Good strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and management skills
