Job description
1. Legal Leadership
- Develop and drive the overall legal strategy aligned with business objectives;
- Review, assess risks and provide legal advice for business activities, projects and new partnership models;
- Review and approve contracts and legal documents in daily operations and new initiatives;
- Advise CEO and BOD on legal risks and obligations;
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on the company;
- Handle corporate structuring and licensing matters;
- Represent the company in disputes and litigation if needed;
- Manage company legal documentation system.
2. Compliance Management
- Build and implement compliance framework including policies, procedures, and controls;
- Establish and maintain compliance monitoring and reporting mechanisms;
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies;
- Conduct compliance reviews and internal assessments;
- Collaborate with Risk and Internal Audit functions;
- Lead compliance training programs across the organization;
- Ensure compliance requirements are embedded in business initiatives.
3. Team Management
- Lead and manage Legal & Compliance teams;
- Allocate resources effectively across both functions;
- Develop team capabilities and succession planning;
- Act as a role model for ethics and compliance culture.
4. Governance & Advisory
- Advise CEO and BOD on legal and compliance strategy;
- Strengthen corporate governance practices;
- Support development of internal policies and processes;
- Ensure legal compliance in financial and debt collection activities.
5. Reporting & Other Tasks
- Report regularly and on-demand to CEO;
- Provide early warning on legal and compliance risks;
- Perform other duties as assigned by CEO.Reporting performance results to Line Manager periodically and upon request.
- Performing other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.
Job Requirement
a. Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Law;
- Lawyer Practicing Certificate is required.
b. Experience
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience;
- At least 3–5 years in leadership role;
- Experience in financial services/banking is preferred
- Proven experience in building compliance frameworks.
c. Skills & Competencies
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making ability;
- Excellent risk assessment and analytical skills;
- Strong leadership and team management;
- Good negotiation and communication skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities;
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese
