Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

The Head of Insights and Analytics is a senior leadership role responsible for maximising the business value delivered by data and analytics across the service centre, while also acting as a strategic performance adviser to the Executive leadership of the centre.

The role has a dual purpose:

  1. Strategic Performance Advisory
  • Act as a trusted adviser to Executive Management of the Service Centre by defining how business performance is measured, understood, and improved.
  • Lead a small central team (4–5 data analysts and engineers) responsible for developing and maintaining an enterprise-grade performance measurementframework, including KPIs, dashboards, insights, and executive reporting.
  • Translate complex operational, technology, workforce, and delivery data into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making, prioritisation, and investment.
  • Shape the narrative on service centre performance, productivity, capacity, risk, and outcomes for senior stakeholders across the bank.

2.Analytics Delivery Oversight and Capability Leadership

  • Provide senior oversight of multiple data and analytics teams within the service centre that deliver work to the broader bank via business-defined backlogs.
  • Ensure analytics delivery is well governed, outcome-focused, and aligned to enterprise standards, while enabling teams to execute efficiently against agreed priorities.
  • Build the capability, maturity, and leadership depth of analytics teams through coaching, talent development, and consistent operating practices.
  • Balance delivery performance with long-term capability uplift, ensuring the service centre evolves from execution-focused delivery to a high-confidence, insight-driven partner for the bank.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver commercial insights and recommendations that inform product development, customer proposition and risk management strategies.
  • Support the identification and work with the business on prioritisation of analytics projects that address emerging market trends, customers needs and competitive dynamics
  • Lead and develop a team of data & analytic professionals to design and develop actionable insights (analytic, data science, data management and/or reporting) for the Centre
  • Build and develop data & analytics teams to service backlogs determined by the business aligned data teams
  • Lead the design of innovative solutions that drive better customer outcomes, drive growth, increase efficiency and simplify processes through the adoption of new and emerging data and analytic solutions
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure alignment between analytics outputs and overall business objectives
  • Oversee the integrity and quality of data used in analytics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement through people leadership, coaching and development.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 10–12+ years experience in strategy, advanced analytics, decision science, or data-driven leadership roles, primarily within Financial Services, Consulting and/or Information Technology.
  • Demonstrated experience translating complex analytical or technical topics into executive-level insights and decisions
  • Proven leadership of data, analytics, technology or multidisciplinary teams, often across multiple geographies (including offshore centres).
  • Experience managing in service model
  • Strong background in risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance frameworks as they relate to the use of data and analytics.

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts to executive audiences to ensure buy in to changes
  • Ability to determine key business drivers and represent performance against these drivers to an Executive audience
  • Proven track record of building, motivating and developing data & analytic teams to deliver tangible customer and business results
  • Sophisticated influencing skills and ability to influence and shape outcomes at an executive level
  • Well-developed leadership skills and experience managing multi-disciplinary teams across diverse geographical locations

  • Comfortable resolving conflicts and making priority calls
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficiency in data analytics, data science, and statistical methodologies, including experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence, data sourcing, cleansing, ETL and development of analytical models
