Job Description
As a VN HR Division Head, your main responsibilities will include:
The Head of HR will oversee all strategic and operational HR activities at a major manufacturing site. Key responsibilities include:
HR Strategy & Business Partnership
- Serve as the strategic HR advisor to site leadership and localize global HR initiatives
- Support workforce expansion, productivity improvement, and organizational effectiveness
- Partner with operational leaders to align people strategy with business goals
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for direct and indirect labor
- Build manpower strategies and talent pipelines for critical roles
- Strengthen employer branding and talent attraction in Vietnam
Talent Management & Leadership Development
- Develop local leadership capabilities and reduce dependence on expatriate roles
- Drive structured leadership training across all managerial levels
- Facilitate learning programs aligned with operational and business needs
Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
- Oversee payroll, C&B processes, and HR operations with full compliance
- Maintain competitive and cost-effective compensation structures
- Ensure HRIS data accuracy and effective HR reporting
Employee Relations & Labor Compliance
- Maintain strong labor relations and manage employee engagement activities
- Handle disciplinary matters and ensure compliance with labor laws and audits
- Liaise with unions or worker representatives when applicable
Culture, Engagement & Organizational Development
- Strengthen company culture, values, and engagement across the site
- Support organizational design improvements and change initiatives
- Lead HR process enhancement to improve service quality
Digital HR Transformation
- Drive HR digitalization, HRIS adoption, and automation of HR workflows
- Implement data-driven HR practices to improve operational efficiency
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in HR, Business, Psychology, or related fields; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
- 15+ years of HR experience, including at least 5 years in HR Manager/Director roles
- Proven experience managing HR operations for 2,000+ employees in Vietnam
- Strong background in manufacturing/industrial sectors
- Deep understanding of Vietnam labor law and local HR practices
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to influence culture and drive organizational change
- Open to both Vietnamese candidates and expatriates who can speak Mandarin (required for crossborder communication)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse, multicultural teams
