About the Role
Ten Digital is seeking a strategic, experienced, and hands-on Head of Finance to take full ownership of our global financial operations, merging broad strategic financial leadership with rigorous oversight of our day-to-day accounting functions. As a fast-growing DTC brand builder managing an 8-figure portfolio across multiple distinct legal entities, we need a leader who excels in international financial structuring, scaling consumer product portfolios, and managing a robust internal accounting ecosystem. High proficiency in Xero and a deep understanding of e-commerce metrics are mandatory for this role.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Global Structuring
- Financial Modeling: Drive global profitability by analyzing DTC-specific KPIs and building robust, predictive financial models for an 8-figure portfolio.
- International Structuring: Oversee and optimize the financial complexities and corporate structures of multiple legal entities across global jurisdictions (US, Singapore & China).
- Risk & Control Frameworks: Design and implement robust internal controls across all operating markets to keep financial records clean, audit-ready, and optimized for global tax efficiency.
Financial Accounting Leadership & Team Management
- Accountant Supervision & Leadership: Directly lead, mentor, and manage the internal global financial accounting team and transactional accountants, establishing clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) and removing operational overlaps.
- Multi-Entity Management: Oversee the end-to-end accounting processes, guaranteeing accurate, timely, and compliant closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial books for all separate business units.
- Intercompany Operations: Manage all intercompany transactions, cost allocations, transfer pricing compliance, and multi-currency reconciliations across global e-commerce operations.
Financial Reporting & Detailed Analysis
- Core Financial Statements: Review and own the absolute accuracy of essential financial statements, including consolidated Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets.
- Margin Analysis: Conduct detailed margin analysis (including contribution margins, net margins, and product-level profitability) to isolate revenue drivers and eliminate cost leakage.
- Cash Flow Management: Perform regular cash analysis and robust cash flow forecasting to optimize working capital, runway, and multi-channel inventory planning.
Tech Stack & Software Optimization
- Systems Expert: Act as the internal champion and technical expert for the company's cloud accounting infrastructure, with heavy operational reliance on Xero.
- E-commerce Integrations: Maintain, audit, and optimize automated integrations between Xero, ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon Seller Central), payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal), and multichannel inventory tools.
- External Coordination: Partner with external localized CPA firms and international tax advisors to facilitate accurate corporate tax filings and local regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
Qualifications
- Requirements: 8-10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with a proven track record in department-head roles (e.g., Head of Finance, Senior Finance Manager, or Finance Director). Hands-on operational experience with US and Singapore accounting and tax compliance is mandatory
- Software Mastery: Expert-level, hands-on experience with Xero
- Core Capabilities: Proven track record of managing financial structures and corporate accounting for multi-legal entities and separate businesses simultaneously. Exceptional ability in generating and analyzing consolidated P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flows, margins, and financial modeling.
- Language Skills: Fluent English communication (both written and verbal) to effectively lead a remote global team, present executive reports, and collaborate directly with founders and native-English stakeholders.
- Education & Certifications: Master's degree in Finance or Accounting; active professional credentials such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or an MBA are highly desirable.
