This position will play a key role in overseeing the finance, accounting and tax activities of the company's existing operations and supporting new business and growth initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, governance and ensuring strong financial controls across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Finance, Accounting & Tax
- Lead and oversee all finance, accounting and tax operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage statutory, management and group reporting processes.
- Review and manage cash flow forecasting, funding and liquidity positions to support business operations and decision-making.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting and financial closing activities, including performance monitoring and variance analysis.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls, financial procedures and governance frameworks.
- Oversee tax compliance, including tax filings, documentation and coordination with relevant authorities.
- Lead tax audits and manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors and other external stakeholders.
Growth & Investment Support
- Support funding activities for new business and growth initiatives.
- Lead or support finance and tax due diligence for potential investments, acquisitions or other growth opportunities.
- Provide financial and tax analysis and input for investment proposals and business cases.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders on financial matters relating to new projects and business development activities.
Strategic Finance & Leadership
- Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams in developing strategic plans and rolling business plans.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making.
- Develop and strengthen financial policies, systems and controls.
- Lead, develop and mentor the finance team, ensuring strong capabilities and succession planning.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with internal teams to support the smooth financial operation of multiple business assets and entities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with JV partners, lenders, auditors, tax authorities and other relevant external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with regional and international finance teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent are highly preferred.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting and financial management.
- Experience in audit or Big 4 environments is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), IFRS and Vietnamese tax regulations.
- Solid experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, tax compliance and internal controls.
- Experience in finance and tax due diligence, investment or growth projects would be highly advantageous.
- Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good commercial acumen and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience managing and developing a finance team.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
