About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Finance and Accounting with 10 years of experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be onboarded in Vietnam and later relocate to the Philippines, providing comprehensive financial management, reporting, and compliance support across both markets. This role requires strong expertise in Vietnamese accounting standards, tools, and practices, combined with the ability to adapt to Philippine regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and reconcile with IFRS for group-level reporting.
- Consolidate reports for Philippine operations, ensuring compliance with BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) requirements and Philippine GAAP.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis, rolling forecasts, and budgeting across Vietnam and Philippine entities.
- Draft clear, well-structured reports and present findings in English, demonstrating strong written and spoken communication skills.
Accounting Operations (Vietnam Focus)
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets using Vietnam-standard practices.
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese tax regulations (VAT, CIT, PIT) and coordinate with external auditors.
- Utilize Vietnamese accounting software tools such as MISA, FAST, Bravo, AMIS for local reporting.
- Integrate with SAP ERP for multinational consolidation, variance analysis, and cross-border reporting.
Philippine Market Support
- Align expense reimbursement, cash advance, and travel policies with Philippine HR and Operations teams.
- Support Philippine tax filings, audit readiness, and compliance with local statutory requirements.
- Provide benchmarking and cost analysis for Philippine suppliers and operational expansion.
Audit & Compliance
- Liaise with external auditors in Vietnam to ensure statutory audits are completed on time.
- Support Philippine audit requirements by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and documentation.
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance reporting to meet cross-border governance standards.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor finance staff in Vietnam while coordinating with Philippine counterparts.
- Partner with regional leadership to embed anti-corruption and compliance clauses across contracts and policies.
- Act as a liaison between Vietnam headquarters and Philippine offices for finance-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, ideally in multinational or cross-border operations.
- Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with Philippine tax and compliance requirements (BIR filings, GAAP).
- Proficiency in Vietnamese accounting tools (MISA, FAST, Bravo, AMIS) and SAP ERP.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); Vietnamese language proficiency is an advantage.
- Willingness to relocate to the Philippines after initial onboarding in Vietnam.
