This role will play a critical part in shaping how data and analytics drive business decisions particularly across credit risk, lending, and portfolio management.
You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and leadership to deliver impactful analytics solutions while building and mentoring a high-performing team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Banking, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8–12 years of experience in analytics, with strong exposure to credit risk modeling
- Proven experience leading and managing analytics or data science teams
- Strong expertise in predictive modeling techniques (e.g., regression, machine learning)
- Solid understanding of the credit lifecycle (origination, portfolio management, collections)
- Experience developing and implementing credit scorecards and risk models
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate analytics into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with client-facing experience
- Exposure to tools such as Python, R, or similar analytics platforms is a plus
- Familiarity with IFRS9 / Expected Credit Loss (ECL) modeling and credit bureau data is an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall analytics strategy aligned with business goals in Vietnam
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing analytics and data science team
- Establish scalable frameworks, best practices, and governance for analytics initiatives
- Lead the development of credit risk solutions (e.g., scorecards, predictive models, portfolio analytics)
- Ensure analytics solutions are practical, scalable, and compliant with client and regulatory requirements
- Review and validate analytical methodologies, model performance, and outputs
- Partner with sales, consulting, and delivery teams to translate business needs into analytics solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders on data-driven strategies and insights
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, including timelines, resource planning, and quality standards
- Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and supporting client engagements, proposals, and pitches
