JOB PURPOSE

The Head of Analytics is responsible for leading the development and execution of CRIF's analytics strategy in Vietnam. This role focuses on driving data-driven decision-making, delivering high-impact analytics solutions, and overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics initiatives. The position requires strong leadership, deep domain expertise in credit risk, and the ability to align analytics capabilities with business objectives while fostering innovation and excellence within the analytics team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Analytics Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the analytics vision and roadmap aligned with business goals and market opportunities.
  • Establish best practices, frameworks, and governance for analytics and data science initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing analytics team.

Solution Development & Delivery

  • Oversee the design and development of advanced analytics solutions, particularly in credit risk (e.g., scorecards, predictive models, portfolio analytics).
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, robust, and aligned with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve analytical methodologies, model performance, and outputs.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and clients on analytics-driven strategies and insights.
  • Work closely with sales, consulting, and delivery teams to identify opportunities and translate business needs into analytics solutions.
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships to drive retention and growth.

Project & Delivery Oversight

  • Provide oversight on project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Ensure appropriate project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Guide teams on data requirements, data quality assessments, and analytical approaches.

Business Impact & Growth

  • Identify and drive new business opportunities by leveraging analytics capabilities (cross-sell and up-sell).
  • Support strategic engagements and key client pitches with thought leadership and domain expertise.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance CRIF's analytics offerings.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., IFRS9 / PFRS9) and internal standards.
  • Maintain strong model governance, validation, and documentation practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Banking, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in analytics, with significant exposure to credit risk modeling in banking or consulting.
  • Proven leadership experience managing analytics or data science teams.
  • Strong expertise in predictive analytics techniques (regression, machine learning) within the credit risk domain.
  • Deep understanding of lending lifecycle, credit processes, and scorecard development (origination, customer management, collections).
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate analytics into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

GOOD TO HAVE

  • Proficiency in Python, R, or other data science tools.
  • Experience with credit bureau data and its applications.
  • Strong background in IFRS9 / PFRS9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) modeling.
  • Experience in analytics consulting and solution commercialization.
  • Knowledge of financial statements and ratio analysis.
