This role is accountable for translating advanced AI capabilities into real product and business impact across Zalo's ecosystem.This is a strategic leadership role grounded in deep technology understanding.
Key responsibilities
Core AI Domains
- Speech & audio processing: ASR, TTS, Speech enhancement (problem modeling, solution designing, model optimization)
- NLP & LLM: LLMs, Chatbots, Translation, Agentic AI
- Computer Vision: Generative AI (Stable diffusion), eKYC, FaceID, document image analysis
Key Responsibilities
- Define AI strategy, research direction, and investment priorities across Voice, LLM, and Vision
- Bridge AI capability with product, user value, and business outcomes
- Make high-level technical and architectural decisions (build vs. buy, optimize vs. research)
- Act as Zalo AI's representative at conferences, academic forums, and industry partnerships
- Build and leverage a strong AI network to attract talent and collaboration
- Lead and manage team size 20+
Ideal Profile
- Prefer PhD in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related fields
- Recognized AI leader with strong reputation and industry/academic network
- Proven experience in Voice/Speech AI and/or LLMs
- Strong product and business mindsetAI for real-world scale, not research alone
- Experienced people leader; able to guide senior AI experts without being hands-on
