About the role
The Head of Admissions at King's College Wimbledon Ho Chi Minh City is responsible for driving student enrolment growth from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to Sixth Form by delivering exceptional admissions and family engagement experiences. The Head of Admissions will lead the Admissions team and oversee the full admissions journey, from lead and initial enquiry through application and assessment to successful enrolment, induction and transition into school life, with an ongoing focus on pupil retention and family engagement. They will ensure that every prospective family receives a highly personalised, responsive and professional experience, reflecting the School's ethos, mission, values and commitment to excellence.
As a senior member of the Admissions, Marketing & Communications team, the Head of Admissions works collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications team and across the school to support strategic planning,
enrolment growth, brand positioning, partnership development and family engagement. The role builds strong relationships with prospective and current families, students and staff, contributing to a connected, engaged and thriving school community.
Key responsibilities
Admissions Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement strategic admissions and enrolment plans in partnership with the Director of Admissions, Marketing & Communications, aligned with the school's growth objectives and positioning within the international school marketplace;
- Conduct ongoing market research, competitor analysis, and trend monitoring to inform strategic planning, enrolment growth, and outreach initiatives;
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data insights to support strategic decision-making, forecasting, operational improvements, and continuous enhancement of admissions workflows and marketing and communication campaigns;
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the school's market presence, family engagement, conversion performance, and long-term retention outcomes.
Admissions Management and Operations
- Lead and manage the full admissions journey from initial enquiry through enrolment, induction, and transition into the school community.
- Ensure all enquiries are handled in a timely, professional, personalized, and informative manner, reflecting the school's commitment to excellence in customer service.
- Monitor admissions pipeline activity, trends, and conversion data, proactively identifying challenges and implementing solutions to improve enrolment outcomes.
- Coordinate school tours, personalized visits, assessments, trial classes, interviews, and induction activities to ensure a seamless admissions experience.
- Ensure all admissions processes, communications, and documentation are accurate, efficient, and aligned with school policies and brand standards.
- Collaborate with external agencies, relocation partners, and third-party providers to support admissions objectives and student enrolment growth.
- Before the school campus opens, organize and manage the use of the School Gallery.
Family Experience
- Ensure a high-quality, personalized, and welcoming admissions experience for all families engaging with the school.
- Act as a key point of contact for prospective families, ensuring clear, responsive, and relationship-focused communication throughout the admissions journey.
- Build strong and lasting relationships with prospective families, providing guidance and support throughout each stage of the admissions process.
- Work closely with academic, pastoral, and operational teams to support the successful onboarding and transition of newly enrolled students and families.
Parent Communication, Engagement & Events
- Ensure all parent communication is professional, personalized, engaging, timely, and aligned with the school's tone of voice and brand standards.
- Plan and support welcome events, orientation programmes, and transition events to strengthen prospective family engagement and integration into the school community.
- Represent the school professionally at admissions events, open houses, exhibitions, education fairs, and community engagement activities.
- Coordinate and deliver high-impact admissions and promotional events in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.
- Support the promotion of the school's brand, values, educational offering, and community culture to prospective families and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen community connection, family engagement, and long-term student retention.
- Ensure that the School Gallery is a friendly and welcoming space for prospective families.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all enquiries, visits, applications, assessments, enrolments, documentation and retention data using the school's CRM system.
- Manage and oversee the effective use of the admissions CRM platform, ensuring data integrity, consistency, operational efficiency, and continuous system improvement where appropriate.
- Generate and analyse CRM-based reports to define and monitor key admissions performance indicators (KPIs) including pipeline performance, conversion rates, responsiveness, engagement trends, and retention indicators.
- Ensure all admissions data collection, storage, and usage comply with data protection regulations and school policies.
- Prepare and present regular admissions reports, forecasts, and performance updates to the Director of Admissions, Marketing & Communications and the wider school leadership team.
Budget and Resource Management
- Develop and manage the annual admissions budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources aligned with strategic priorities and enrolment objectives.
- Monitor expenditure across admissions activities, events, and initiatives to ensure cost-effectiveness and return on investment.
- Support budget planning and financial reporting through accurate analysis of admissions data, forecasting, and operational requirements.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the admissions team to deliver exceptional service standards, strong family engagement, and successful enrolment outcomes.
- Train and support admissions staff in the effective use of CRM systems, admissions processes, and customer experience standards.
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team culture focused on accountability, professionalism, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
- Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing training, mentorship, and development opportunities in collaboration with the Director of Admissions, Marketing & Communications.
- Ensure consistency in communication, family engagement, admissions processes, and CRM usage across the admissions team.
Person requirements
We are seeking for an exceptional professional with:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in education, sales, marketing, business administration, communications, or arelated field;
- Master's degree or relevant professional qualification is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of five years experience in admissions (ideally in a Pre-Nursery to Sixth Form institution),student recruitment, enrolment management, or educational consultancy at a similar level;
- Proven track record of successfully leading admissions initiatives, driving enrolment growth, and managing admissions operations within an international school environment.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing admissions or family engagement teams.
