Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

  • The Head of Admissions is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all school admissions activities, with the goal of attracting both domestic and international students. The key focus of this position is to expand student recruitment from Lao Cai and neighboring provinces, Hanoi, Da Nang, and international markets (particularly China and Southeast Asia), while ensuring a professional, friendly admissions experience aligned with the school's international development orientation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Head of Admissions performsa full range of duties, including but not limited to:

  1. Admissions Strategy and Planning
  • Develop and implement the annual admissions strategy in alignment with the school's development goals.
  • Identify and expand new recruitment channels in Northern and Central Vietnam, as well as international markets.
  • Propose creative programs, events, seminars, and open days to promote the school's image and attract prospective parents and students.
  • Regularly analyze market trends, competitors, and parent feedback to inform effective admissions decisions.

2. Domestic Admissions

  • Strengthen the school's presence in Lao Cai and neighboring provinces through partnerships with local authorities, schools, and communities.
  • Build relationships with agencies, educational organizations, and parents in Hanoi to attract boarding students seeking British-standard education.
  • Represent the school at domestic education fairs, exhibitions, and recruitment events.

3. International Admissions

  • Develop and maintain relationships with overseas education consultants, schools, and agenciesparticularly in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.
  • Collaborate on international marketing campaigns, promotional materials, and online seminars targeting international parents.
  • Support the entire international admissions processfrom counseling and application to enrollmentensuring compliance with the Ministry of Education and Training and immigration regulations.

4. Admissions Operations

  • Manage and supervise the admissions team to ensure a professional, efficient, and timely process.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy throughout the registration, evaluation, and enrollment stages.
  • Oversee re-enrollment activities to achieve annual student retention targets.
  • Ensure that student data and admissions reports are fully updated and accurate.
  • Directly oversee all admissions activities. Regularly conduct evaluations of customer service quality. Handle parent complaints and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure thorough resolution.
  • Proactively develop communication systems and channels with students and parents to effectively support admissions activities.

5. Marketing and Promotion

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to implement promotional campaigns, communication content, and admissions materials.
  • Manage multilingual communication channels (Vietnamese English Chinese) across the website, social media pages, brochures, and other marketing publications.
  • Organize and participate in events, fairs, and experience programs to enhance the school's brand recognition and academic reputation.

6. Team Management and Training

  • Lead and coach the admissions team, fostering a professional and welcoming working style.
  • Train staff in communication, counseling, and cross-cultural understandingespecially for interactions with Chinese-speaking and international parents.
  • Coordinate with academic and administrative departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new students.

7. Other administrative works and duties assigned by the Board of Directors.

  • This Job Description is not limited to the duties / responsibilities described above and will be subject to changes to incorporate any duties / responsibilities to reflect the job scope / business requirements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Sales, Marketing/PR, Business Administration, or a related field (such as Economics, Marketing, Education, or Business Management).
  • At least 3 years of experience in education, sales, or customer service (preferably with prior experience working at international schools).

ABILITIES/ SKILLS:

  • English: Proficient in all four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Mandarin Chinese: A strong advantage.
  • Experience building school community relationships.
  • Understand the thoughts and needs of parents and students.
  • Have good communication skills and negotiation skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Head of Admissions works closely with Parents, Students, and multiple departments. Proactivity, results-driven mindset, problem-solving ability, and cooperative skills are essential for this role.
