Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high-performance trading engines for different order types and automated execution
- Integrate with multiple exchanges and liquidity venues with strict latency requirements
- Design and optimize transaction flows and order routing with microsecond level precision
- Scale backend systems to handle thousands of trades per second with minimal downtime
- Collaborate closely with engineers and quants to implement systematic trading strategies
Qualifications
- 35 years in backend development with strong Golang and/or Rust experience
- Prior experience in high-frequency trading (HFT) or low-latency systems development
- Proven track record building performance-critical, mission-critical infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Technical Skills
- Golang and/or Rust (strong proficiency required)
- PostgreSQL or other high-performance databases
- Experience with low-latency network programming and optimization
- Understanding of order management systems (OMS) and execution management systems (EMS)
- Proficiency in concurrent programming and lock-free data structures
Industry Knowledge
- Deep understanding of HFT trading systems architecture
- Experience with exchange connectivity (FIX protocol, native APIs)
- Familiarity with market microstructure and order types
- Knowledge of latency optimization techniques at all layers (network, kernel, application)
Nice to have
- Experience with FPGA or hardware acceleration
- Observability and reliability tooling for trading systems
- Knowledge of memory management and CPU optimization techniques
- Familiarity with colocation infrastructure and direct market access
