Job Summary/Scope

The Global Sourcing Manager will develop and lead CST's global sourcing strategy for aluminum coils, extrusions and any new product developments, supporting current and future manufacturing facilities in European, the U.S., and Vietnam. This will be the primary and immediate focus of the roleestablishing a competitive global supply base, achieving cost reductions, and improving product consistency and manufacturability.

Once the aluminum sourcing strategy is built and implemented, this role has the potential to expand to lead global sourcing efforts for additional commodities such as carbon steel, fasteners, fabricated components, and other engineered products for all CST facilities globally. Over time, this position could evolve into a key global commodity leader responsible for diversifying supply, improving cost structure, and building long-term sourcing strategies across multiple product lines.

The role will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Project Management, including close collaboration with Engineering to reduce skus and consolidate dome drawings into a standardized design. This initiative aims to reduce overall dome weight, simplify supply requirements, and lower total product costall while maintaining required structural strength and performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Initiative: Aluminum Coils & Extrusions

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global sourcing strategy for aluminum coils and extrusions for facilities in Europe and the U.S.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify low-cost aluminum mills and extrusion partners for both local supply and import programs.
  • Conduct market analysis, cost modeling, and supplier benchmarking to secure the most competitive landed cost options.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and establish long-term supply agreements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to align sourcing decisions with business needs.
  • Partner with Engineering to consolidate dome drawings into a single product line to reduce variability, cost, and overall material usage.
  • Participate in product design reviews to optimize material selection, dimensions, and manufacturability from a sourcing perspective.

Broader Responsibilities (Phase 2 and Beyond)

  • Expand sourcing responsibilities to additional commodities such as carbon steel, fasteners, hardware, and other global supply categories.
  • Develop long-term commodity strategies across multiple product groups to reduce cost, improve supply stability, and support standardization.
  • Identify global best-cost suppliers across Europe, Asia, and North America.
  • Lead global supplier relationship management, including performance reviews, audits, and risk mitigation programs.

Cost, Risk, and Supplier Management

  • Drive year-over-year cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
  • Build multi-source strategies to reduce supply risk and ensure business continuity.
  • Track and forecast global commodity trends, tariffs, regulations, and market movements.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with quality, sustainability, and safety standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sourcing or commodity management experience, ideally with metals or industrial components.
  • Experience sourcing aluminum, carbon steel, or fabricated components.
  • Experience importing and exporting products.
  • Background working with mills, extruders, or raw material producers.
  • Experience in global sourcing, including international supplier qualification and negotiation.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, technical specs, and material requirements.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred

  • International sourcing experience in Europe or USA.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (D365 or equivalent).
