Job Description

Location: Hallmark building, 15 Tran Bach Dang, An Khanh Ward, HCMC

Working time: 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday

About the role:

You will own payroll delivery for our employees across 5+ countries — spanning Southeast Asia and Europe — working alongside local HR Managers, EoR partners, and external legal counsel.

This is deliberately a broad role. Beyond payroll execution, you will be the first point of contact for employees on pay and benefits questions, act as the internal reference point for labour law and statutory requirements in each market, and work with the Global HR and Total Rewards team on projects that shape how we pay people.

We are not looking for someone who has already worked across all five markets. We are looking for someone who has stepped outside a single-country payroll and wants to go much further. You will learn the rest here — with EoR partners and legal support behind you.

What You'll Do

Payroll delivery:

  • Process and manage payroll across multiple legal entities and countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery every cycle.
  • Validate payroll inputs — new hires, terminations, salary changes, benefits, statutory deductions, tax withholding — before processing.
  • Coordinate with EoR providers: submit instructions and employee data accurately, reconcile their reports and invoices against internal records, and chase discrepancies to resolution.
  • Support internal and external audits with clean documentation.

Labour law & compliance

  • Build and maintain working knowledge of employment and payroll regulation in each country we operate in.
  • Act as the internal first-line reference on country-specific statutory requirements, escalating to EoR partners or external counsel where specialist input is needed.
  • Track regulatory changes and flag payroll or policy impact before it becomes a compliance issue.

Employee experience

  • Be the go-to person for employees across all entities on payroll, payslip, and benefits questions — responding clearly, quickly, and with discretion.
  • Partner with local HR Managers to align on inputs, resolve issues, and translate country-specific rules into answers employees can actually understand.

Total Rewards & projects

  • Work with the Global HR team on benefits reviews, salary structure work, market benchmarking inputs, and payroll process standardization across markets.
  • Build and maintain per-country payroll documentation — country SOPs, payroll calendar, and EoR runbook — as a core deliverable of the role.
  • Identify where our multi-country payroll operation can be simplified, standardized, or better documented — and drive those improvements.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in payroll, including hands-on experience with at least one country outside Vietnam. Multi-country experience is a plus, not a prerequisite — appetite to learn several more is.
  • Working English (written and spoken)
  • Solid grounding in labour law and payroll compliance, with the research instinct to work out unfamiliar country rules rather than wait to be told.
  • Comfort being employee-facing: you can explain a complicated payslip to someone who is frustrated and make them feel taken care of.
  • Structured, detail-driven, and able to hold multiple entities and deadlines at once without dropping threads.
  • Sound judgment with confidential data, and the ability to work independently.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a multinational or shared services environment.
  • Prior work with Employer of Record (EoR) providers.
  • Exposure to total rewards, benefits design, or compensation benchmarking.
  • Familiarity with global mobility, expatriate payroll, or tax equalization.
