Global Payroll & Billing Operations Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Global Payroll & Billing Operations Specialist to join our Global Service Delivery team.

This role is responsible for managing monthly payroll operations, validating payroll inputs, coordinating with local payroll providers, reviewing payroll outputs, preparing employer cost data, and supporting client billing across multiple countries.

You will work closely with Customer Success, Employment Administration, Country Compliance, Finance, and local payroll vendors to ensure payroll is processed accurately, employees are paid on time, and clients receive accurate employment cost billing.

This is not a traditional in-house payroll position.

It is a global operations role supporting multiple countries, multiple clients, and a fast-growing international EOR business.

What You'll Do

Payroll Operations

* Manage end-to-end monthly payroll cycles across assigned countries.

* Maintain payroll calendars, cut-off dates and payroll schedules.

* Validate payroll inputs including salary changes, bonuses, commissions, overtime, allowances and one-off payments.

* Review leave, reimbursement and adjustment data submitted through the ExtG Platform.

* Process joiners, leavers, salary prorations and final payroll.

* Ensure payroll inputs are complete before payroll cut-off.

* Coordinate off-cycle payroll when required.

Payroll Vendor Coordination

* Work closely with local payroll vendors across multiple countries.

* Submit payroll inputs and supporting documentation.

* Track payroll processing timelines and deliverables.

* Resolve payroll queries with vendors.

* Review payroll reports and payslips before finalization.

* Escalate delivery issues where necessary.

Payroll Review & Quality Control

* Review Gross-to-Net payroll calculations.

* Validate taxes, statutory contributions and employer costs.

* Perform month-over-month payroll variance analysis.

* Investigate payroll discrepancies.

* Ensure payroll outputs match approved payroll inputs.

* Maintain payroll accuracy and audit readiness.

Billing Operations

* Prepare Employment Cost calculations.

* Prepare employer cost summaries.

* Support monthly client billing.

* Prepare draft billing data for Finance.

* Process payroll adjustments and billing corrections.

* Review billing accuracy before invoice generation.

* Support payroll-to-billing reconciliation.

Cross-functional Collaboration

What We're Looking For

Required

* 2+ years of payroll, payroll outsourcing, EOR, HR operations or payroll operations experience.

* Strong understanding of monthly payroll operations.

* Experience reviewing payroll data with a high level of accuracy.

* Excellent Excel or Google Sheets skills.

* Comfortable working with numbers, payroll reports and reconciliations.

* Strong organizational and time management skills.

* Ability to manage multiple countries or multiple client portfolios simultaneously.

* Strong written and spoken English.

* High attention to detail and ownership mindset.

Preferred

* Experience working in an EOR, PEO or Global Employment company.

* Experience working with multiple countries.

* Experience working with payroll vendors.

* Understanding of employer costs and statutory payroll.

* Experience supporting client billing.

* Experience using HRIS or Payroll systems.

* Chinese language ability is a plus.
