Role Description

This is a remote volunteer role for a Global Digital Marketing Lead at Kenosis Collective. The selected individual will be responsible for developing and executing global digital marketing strategies, managing and supporting the social media team, and ensuring consistent brand execution across all digital channels.

You will manage social media campaigns, analyze performance data, and support online marketing initiatives, while also standardizing brand content, messaging, and workflows. In addition, you will create and pilot new initiatives in social media and growth marketing to generate value, strengthen brand presence, and build long-term company equity.

This role plays a key leadership function within a lean, fast-moving startup environment and works closely with the founder and cross-functional volunteers.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly open to the ambiguity, pace, and challenges of a startup, and who enjoys building systems, testing ideas, and creating impact from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global digital marketing strategies aligned with organizational objectives
  • Lead and coordinate digital marketing activities across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, website, email)
  • Manage the social media team and support them in delivering platform-specific objectives, ensuring alignment with overall digital strategy
  • Standardize brand content, tone of voice, visual guidelines, and messaging across all digital channels
  • Establish and maintain content frameworks, templates, and lightweight brand playbooks
  • Plan, oversee, and review content calendars and campaign execution
  • Create, test, and pilot initiatives in social media and growth marketing to drive audience growth, engagement, brand value, and company equity
  • Identify and experiment with new formats, platforms, tools, and growth opportunities
  • Track performance using web analytics and social media insights, and translate insights into action
  • Support digital campaigns for book launches, articles, partnerships, and initiatives
  • Improve digital marketing workflows and build repeatable processes suitable for scale
  • Mentor and support interns and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented culture

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in social media management, including planning, execution, and performance optimization
  • Demonstrated experience delivering measurable results (growth, engagement, reach, conversions, or brand lift)
  • Portfolio detailing relevant experiences and achievements (e.g., social accounts managed, campaigns led, experiments run, performance metrics)
  • Proficiency in social media marketing and digital marketing practices
  • Strong skills in web analytics, online marketing strategy, and performance tracking
  • Experience creating and managing engaging marketing content across platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
  • Highly open to the pace, ambiguity, and challenges of a startup environment
  • Familiarity with global digital marketing trends and growth marketing tools is a plus
  • Passion for publishing, knowledge-sharing, and empowering authors

Commitment & Terms

  • Time Commitment: Approximately 1015 hours per week
  • Duration: Minimum 6 months
  • Type: Volunteer (unpaid)
  • Location: Fully remote, global team
