We're building the founding leadership team for a global applied-AI company's entry into Vietnam — a well-funded, fast-scaling platform backed by leading international VCs, already operating across dozens of markets worldwide, helping enterprises move AI from pilot into real production use.
This is a true country-builder role. You'll be the first executive hire on the ground, setting the commercial and operational foundation for the market — working directly with regional and global leadership.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning the P&L and go-to-market strategy for Vietnam from day one
- Building and hiring the founding local team across commercial and delivery functions
- Acting as the face of the business with enterprise clients, regulators, and local ecosystem partners
- Operating with significant autonomy - this is a builder's seat, not a caretaker role
What we're looking for:
- A genuine track record of launching something from zero — as a founder/co-founder, or as the first person on the ground opening a market for a global company.
- Strong enterprise experience - a demonstrated track record to sell into, negotiate with, and build trust at large organisations, along with an existing network of enterprise relationships you can draw on to accelerate market entry
- Experience at a tier-1 global or regional tech company (start-up, scale-up, or major platform business)
- Deep, credible roots in the Vietnam market and ecosystem - long-established in-market, with genuine local relationships and trust
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, high pace, and a founder mindset
- Vietnamese fluency strongly preferred
- Commercially led — this is a partnerships/BD/GTM-driven role, not a pure operations or back-office function
