Role Overview
The General Manager (GM) will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the success of our Vietnam office. Reporting directly to the CEO, the GM will share responsibility for managing the overall P&L performance, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering strong client relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on leadership skills to inspire teams, win new business, and deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Financial Leadership
- Share responsibility with the CEO for managing the office's P&L, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
- Drive revenue growth through new business development and client retention.
- Lead and win pitches to secure new accounts and expand market share.
2. Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments, including back-office functions.
- Ensure efficient processes, compliance, and resource allocation to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with regional teams and leverage Assembly's global talent and resources for best practices and innovation.
3. Strategic Planning
- Work closely with the CEO to develop and execute multi-year business strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify market opportunities and trends to position the agency for long-term success.
4. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality work that meets client expectations and strengthens partnerships.
5. People Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and motivate staff to enhance morale and performance.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
- Champion professional development and talent retention initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1520 years of experience in senior leadership roles within advertising, marketing, creative brand communication or related industries.
- Strong understanding of agency operations, client servicing, and business development.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage P&L, develop strategies, and deliver results in a competitive market.
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese
