Our client is a well known shipping and logistics company. They are currently seeking a General Manager for their logistics business in Vietnam. This role will be leading and managing all commercial, operational, and financial activities of the logistics business in Vietnam.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business direction for Vietnam, including HCM & HaiPhong offices.
- Drive growth in freight forwarding, trucking, contract logistics, project logistics & 4PL .
- Oversee sales, operations, customer service, finance, and HR.
- Ensure compliance, service quality, and operational KPIs.
- Strengthen customer, vendor, and government relationships.
- Build, lead, and develop the Vietnam team.
- Ensure top and bottom line growth in accordance to budget and long term plan of company
- Review and evaluate P&L performance and establish short term goals to address any budgetary shortfalls
- Drive sales strategy and BD pipeline for all products.
- Expand customer base and secure profitable long-term contracts.
- Manage key accounts and strengthen customer retention.
- Lead pricing, margin management, and commercial negotiations.
- Full P&L management for Vietnam; performance oversight for Cambodia JV.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure AR management, cost control, and accurate reporting.
- Provide monthly performance updates to HQ
Experience
- 812 years in logistics / freight forwarding / 3PL.
- Expertise in air/ocean freight, trucking, contract logistics, and warehousing.
- Minimum 5 years in senior managerial roles with P&L responsibility.
- Experience managing multi-location operations
- Strong track record in commercial development and operational leadership.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English
