Job Description

Job Summary:

The General Manager will lead and oversee the overall business operations of the country, driving revenue growth, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team performance. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives, managing business functions, and ensuring the achievement of financial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Develop and execute country business strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market growth targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to drive business growth.

Operations & Performance Management

  • Oversee daily business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and service excellence.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all business functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.

Customer Experience & After-Sales Support

  • Champion a customer-centric culture and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee after-sales support and service operations, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues.
  • Implement service improvement initiatives based on customer feedback and business needs.

Financial & Credit Management

  • Manage country budgets, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Oversee credit control and collections activities to ensure healthy cash flow and minimize business risks.
  • Collaborate with finance and legal teams on risk management and recovery strategies.

People Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams across sales, operations, and support functions.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
  • Support talent acquisition, employee development, succession planning, and performance management.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Provide regular business updates and performance reports to regional and global leadership teams.
  • Align country objectives with regional and corporate strategies.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and business transformation projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of leadership experience with responsibility for business operations, sales, and team management.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven success in driving business growth and operational performance.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial planning, and business performance metrics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Adaptable, results-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
