General Accountant

We are seeking a General Accountant to lead on the accounting and compliance function at Upscale.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards (VAS) and tax regulations.

Oversee all daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.

Prepare and submit tax filings (VAT, CIT, PIT) and liaise with tax authorities.

Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis for management.

Monitor internal controls and compliance with company policies.

Work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and authorities.

Provide insights to management on financial risks, cost optimization, and cash flow.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 5 - 7 years of accounting experience, ideally in trading, retail, or distribution sectors.

Accountant Certificate required.

Strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards and tax law.

Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.

High attention to detail, integrity, and ownership of responsibilities.

Ability to work independently without a team.

Good English communication is required.
