About the Role
Faraday Technology Vietnam is expanding our Finance team and seeking a Regional GL Accountant to support end-to-end accounting operations for both our Vietnam and Singapore entities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and seamless coordination across regions.
You will work closely with the Finance Manager, Chief Accountant, and cross-border teams to deliver high-quality financial outcomes and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Ledger & Regional Coordination
- Review journal vouchers, prepare monthly closing entries, and manage accruals and prepayments.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy across Vietnam and Singapore entities.
- Coordinate with regional finance teams to ensure consistency and compliance.
2. Daily Operations & Cash Flow (AP/AR)
- Manage Accounts Payable: review documents, process vendor invoices and employee claims, execute payments, and reconcile AP sub-ledger.
- Manage Accounts Receivable: issue customer invoices, track AR aging, and support timely collections with sales teams.
- Support expense analysis and short-/mid-term cash flow forecasting.
3. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Independently perform month-end closing to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement).
- Provide management reports and perform variance and trend analysis.
4. Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and file VAT, CIT, WHT, and other statutory tax obligations.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors for year-end reporting.
- Ensure compliance with VAS, IFRS, and company policies for both Vietnam and Singapore.
5. Audit
- Support internal and external audits, prepare audit documentation, and respond to queries.
6. Process Improvement
- Review existing accounting procedures and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
7. Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Accountant or Finance Manager.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Knowledge of VAS required; IFRS understanding preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
- Strong understanding of GL, financial statements, tax filing (VAT/CIT/WHT).
- Experience in tech, IC design, banking, e-commerce, or Singapore-invested companies is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Odoo) and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent English communication; Chinese is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and problem-solving ability.
