In order to accompany the growth of Biocodex, we are looking for the General Accountant that will help structure the affiliate's financial foundation, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial records. You will oversee accounting operations, ensure full compliance with local regulations and standards, and deliver timely, reliable financial data.
Within Finance Department, the General Accountant will report to Finance Manager.
Your Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Supervise all accounting transactions, month-end and year-end closing.
- Ensure correct booking of revenues, expenses, payroll, OPEX, and COGS.
- Manage intercompany, distributor reconciliations and consolidation across entities.
Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and submit all statutory reports (Tax, DOIT, DPI, Statistics, SBV).
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (CIT, VAT, PIT, transfer pricing).
- Monitor and implement new tax laws/regulations.
- Ensure compliance with SBV reporting, licensing, and regulatory filings.
- Support audits and provide all requested documents.
- Updating new tax laws and regulations;
Treasury & Payments
- Supervise treasury operations, including bank reconciliation and cash management.
- Ensure timely vendor payments, payroll disbursements, and intercompany settlements.
- Manage relationships with banks and support treasury forecasts.
Controls & Process Improvements
- Maintain accounting policies, approval matrix, and closing SOP.
- Ensure internal controls are robust and compliant with Biocodex Group standards.
- Continuously improve efficiency of reporting and compliance processes.
- Supporting to implement all the proper financial procedures (reporting, expense approvals, purchasing etc.);
- Supporting to build with the other departments the relevant tools to support the Sales, Marketing and HR departments success;
Financial Reporting
- Ensuring accurate and timely statutory and management financial reporting;
- Coordinating audits and examinations, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations;
Supporting to maintain robust financial controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks;
Qualifications
Educational background
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field;
Professionnal experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or general accounting roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical/ FMCG industry;
Technical masteries (softwares, sales techniques, etc.)
- Strong knowledge and experience of financial & accounting principles, practices, regulations, reporting;
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems: BO & SAP preferrable);
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders;
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrated a proactive approach to problem-solving;
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese
