We are seeking an experienced Perceived Quality Lead Engineer to lead the development of premium fit & finish, surface quality, and overall aesthetics in our next-generation electric vehicle. The role is accountable for PQ standards, competitor benchmarking, and process execution, ensuring every product reflects best-in-class quality and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and manage the PQ VDS (Vehicle Design Specification) to ensure PQ requirements are embedded in product definition.
- Plan, manage, and execute DVP (Design Validation Plan) with focus on PQ verification across development and production phases.
- Utilize JIRA system for program health check, issue tracking, and resolution monitoring to secure transparent progress reporting.
- Lead competitor benchmarking to track market trends and customer expectations.
- Drive PQ requirements into product development from concept to launch.
- Collaborate with Design, CMF, Materials, and Manufacturing teams to achieve best-in-class PQ.
- Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across projects.
- Lead structured issue-resolution processes from design through production phases to secure robust quality outcomes.
- Represent PQ within the organization as a key voice of the customer.
- Support knowledge sharing and contribute to building PQ capability across teams.
Requirements
Experience:
- Proven leadership in cross-functional collaboration with Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
- Experience defining and implementing Perceived Quality (PQ) standards in vehicle or mobility development.
- Practical expertise in dimensional engineering, GD&T, locator strategies, and fixture design.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5, Teamcenter, and Excel data analysis.
