We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced
Game Monetisation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be
responsible for the end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimisation of our monetisation efforts across a portfolio of mobile games. You will focus on driving growth in both ad revenue and in-app purchases (IAP) / subscriptions, working closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to maximise lifetime value (LTV) and revenue per user (ARPU).
Responsibilities
Ad Monetisation:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive ad monetisation strategy, including bidding and waterfall management, A/B testing, and new ad format integration.
- Partner with ad networks and exchanges to negotiate favorable terms and optimise performance.
- Monitor key ad revenue metrics (e.g., eCPM, fill rate, ARPDAU) and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with game design and product teams to integrate rewarded video, interstitials, and other ad units in a user-friendly and revenue-optimised manner.
In-App Purchase (IAP) & Subscriptions
- Analyse player behaviour and purchase data to identify trends and inform IAP pricing and promotion strategies.
- Design and manage live ops events, special offers, and subscription-based content to drive revenue and engagement.
- Collaborate with game designers to create compelling virtual goods, bundles, and progression systems that encourage IAP.
- Conduct A/B tests on IAP store layouts, pricing, and product descriptions to maximise conversion rates.
Analytics & Optimisation
- Utilise business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and in-house dashboards to analyse monetisation performance and report on key metrics.
- Develop and maintain a robust A/B testing roadmap for all monetisation initiatives.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to product and design teams to improve LTV and ARPU.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor strategies, and new monetisation technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Business, Economics, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile game monetisation, with a strong focus on both ad revenue and IAP/subscriptions.
- Proven track record of increasing revenue and LTV for mobile games.
- Expertise in ad mediation platforms (e.g., MoPub, ironSource, AppLovin MAX) and a deep understanding of the mobile advertising ecosystem.
- Familiarity with A/B testing platforms like Firebase
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL (optional) and experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- Passion for mobile games and a deep understanding of player behaviour and motivation.
Bonus Points
- Experience with a live-ops tool or platform.
- Knowledge of different game genres and their unique monetisation models.
- Experience with subscription-based products.
