Job Description
This role focuses on balancing all numbers in the game related to the game economy, game progression, LiveOps to ensure a satisfying user experience and game revenue.
Main Responsibilities:
Game Systems & Economy
- Collaborate with Game Designers to balance game difficulty, rewards, item power, cost, and availability across the game's lifecycle to align with game direction.
- Support Game Designerswith new GDD creation to review or handle any part linked to the economy design
LiveOps Balancing
- Support the definition of TLE configs, including difficulty of events, progression milestones, leaderboard rules and rewards, segmentation of events, etc.
- Handle the balancing of all new content added to the game.
- (if any) Support PM and LOQA with complex bundles or chain offer compositions.
Game Performance (Engagement and monetization metrics)
- Analyze metrics, economy data, and market trends to spot bottlenecks and opportunities.
- Propose improvements, tuning, and A/B tests to boost engagement, retention, and monetization.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experienceas Game Designer
- Strong Excel skills
- Game KPI analysis & knowledge of various monetization models
- Passion for games on all existing formats
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Good sensitivity to gameplay and game design, understanding how to build needs and emotions in the context of a game
- Good econometrics & marketing knowledge
- Data-driven decision making
Will be plus:
- Graduate degree in Economics or BA, preferably specialized in Marketing or Strategic direction
- Having good knowledge on data visualization and business intelligence tools like Looker
- Knowledge of some popular game engines such as Unity.
