Job Description

As a Game Developer Team Lead, you will architect, refactor, and drive the technical direction of a new Digimon-based online multiplayer game. This senior, hands-on role blends deep Unreal Engine development with architectural leadership-unifying multiple legacy codebases into a modern, scalable, real-time action framework while ensuring performance, stability, and long-term growth.

The Qualifications We Seek

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of professional Unreal Engine experience (UE4 required, UE5 preferred)
• Expert-level C++ development skills with experience in large, complex codebases
• Strong understanding of multiplayer systems, replication, and server-authoritative design
• Proven experience converting or refactoring turn-based systems into real-time gameplay
• Deep knowledge of animation blueprints, notifies, and combat timing
• Strong profiling and optimization skills
• Excellent English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing MMORPGs or online multiplayer games
• Proven experience guiding and mentoring engineering teams
• Background in large system integrations or modernization projects
• Familiarity with modern AI technologies (LLMs, generative tools, code-assist tooling) and experience integrating AI-driven workflows to improve development efficiency

Your Daily Tasks

• Architect and unify multiple existing Unreal Engine codebases (turn-based and real-time) into a cohesive real-time open-world combat framework
• Lead and mentor client and server developers while enforcing coding standards, best practices, and documentation
• Redesign and adapt gameplay and backend systems to support modern real-time gameplay
• Develop and maintain server-authoritative combat logic, predictive correction, replication optimization, and network performance
• Guide and execute the UE4 to UE5 migration plan
• Integrate real-time combat systems and workflows from a separate prototype into the main architecture
• Optimize open-world performance to support 100-200 players per channel
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, crash analysis, and profiling tools
• Coordinate closely with producers, designers, artists, and both client and server development teams
• Build internal debugging tools to support QA and engineering workflows
