Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management of production costs, including materials, labor, factory overhead, and related administrative expenses at plant level.
  • Continuously review and enhance costing methodologies to ensure accuracy, transparency, and operational alignment.
  • Own and manage BOM validation, labor costing, material wastage control, hourly labor rates, machinery utilization, productivity metrics, and overhead allocation.
  • Generate comprehensive costing reports with the ability to drill down to process-level analysis and provide actionable insights.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on costing methodology, advising stakeholders including Plant Head, Procurement, Production Planning, Product Design, and Engineering.
  • Ensure costing standards, policies, and procedures are consistently applied in accordance with defined timelines and financial calendars.
  • Deliver advanced financial analysis including cost driver trends, export cost models, and margin analysis.
  • Support system and process enhancements to strengthen costing accuracy, reporting efficiency, and overall performance.

Candidate Profile Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Chief Accountant Certification or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

Experience & Technical Capability

  • Minimum 8 years of solid experience in manufacturing costing.
  • Prior managerial exposure within a costing team is highly desirable (strong senior candidates may be considered for Costing Accountant level).
  • In-depth understanding of cost drivers with cross-functional exposure to Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sourcing.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (mandatory).
  • Background in multinational or large-scale organizations is advantageous.
  • Strong English communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
