About the role:Progress
  • Execute assigned ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF) tasks for ADAS L2 and L2+ functions throughout the product lifecycle, under the guidance of Lead Engineer or Manager.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of safety plans and safety cases for specific subsystems or modules, aligned with project milestones.
  • Perform HARA, FTA, FMEA, DFA for assigned components, independently for standard tasks and with guidance for complex analyses.
  • Track progress of assigned safety activities and ensure deliverables meet agreed schedules.
  • Assist in implementing safety mechanisms in collaboration with internal and supplier teams, ensuring results are documented and validated.

Quality

  • Contribute to the development of Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and derivation of FSR/TSR for designated Powertrain and ADAS modules.
  • Verify assigned system, hardware, and software requirements for compliance with ISO 26262 standard.
  • Prepare and update safety documentation to ensure traceability, completeness, and alignment with project quality standards.
  • Support Safety Verification & Validation activities, including preparation of test documentation.
  • Participate in internal FuSa meetings, technical reviews, and cross-functional workshops, providing updates on assigned work.

Cost & Efficiency

  • Apply and promote reuse of existing safety concepts, templates, and lessons learned to improve efficiency and reduce rework.
  • Identify and report risks, delays, or inefficiencies in assigned work to the Lead Engineer for resolution.
  • Utilize safety tools (e.g., CodeBeamer, JIRA) effectively to maintain consistent and high-quality documentation.
  • Suggest process improvements based on hands-on execution experience to enhance workflow efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

  • Basic knowledge of functional safety, embedded systems, or automotive electronics is a plus.

  • Familiarity with ISO 26262, SOTIF (ISO 21448), or automotive safety/cybersecurity standards is an advantage (can be through coursework, internship, or projects).

  • Understanding of automotive sensors (LiDAR, radar, cameras) and interest in ADAS/Autonomous Driving technologies.

  • Good problem-solving, logical thinking, and teamwork skills.

  • Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to new technologies.

  • Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal).

  • Experience with safety analysis tools (Medini Analyze, Ansys, DOORS, etc.) or relevant university projects is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Internship or project experience in automotive, embedded systems, or safety engineering.

  • Knowledge of ASPICE process frameworks or automotive standards is an advantage.

  • Strong passion for working in the field of ADAS and Autonomous Driving.
