Job Description
As a Frontend Developer Intern, you will work closely with the internal team and clients to build responsive, user-friendly applications and AI-enabled interfaces. Your role involves converting UX/UI designs into functional pages, developing reusable components, integrating frontend interfaces with APIs, testing application flows, and improving usability across devices.
What you will do
1. Frontend Development
- Develop responsive web pages and application interfaces
- Convert Figma designs, wireframes, and prototypes into functional frontend components
- Build reusable and maintainable components
- Implement application layouts, forms, dashboards, and user workflows
- Ensure interfaces work across different devices and screen sizes
2. API and System Integration
- Connect frontend interfaces with backend APIs and databases
- Handle JSON data, API requests, responses, and error states
- Integrate third-party services and AI platforms into application interfaces
- Support user authentication, access permissions, and form validation
- Work with developers to troubleshoot integration issues
3. UX/UI Implementation
- Translate business requirements into clear user journeys and interface flows
- Improve usability, navigation, and visual consistency
- Apply design systems, component libraries, and responsive design standards
- Review prototypes with business analysts and stakeholders before development
- Recommend practical interface improvements based on user needs
4. Testing and Quality Assurance
- Test frontend features and user flows
- Identify and resolve layout, performance, and compatibility issues
- Support user acceptance testing and deployment preparation
- Review frontend performance and page responsiveness
- Maintain consistent coding and documentation standards
5. Development Collaboration
- Use GitHub for source control and code collaboration
- Work with business analysts, designers, backend developers, and AI engineers
- Provide progress updates and raise technical issues early
- Participate in project discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews
- Maintain frontend documentation and development records.
What we are looking for
- Strong sense of visual design, with a good eye for clean, modern, and user-friendly web interfaces.
- Attention to spacing, typography, colour, alignment, and overall layout quality.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, TypeScript, or similar frontend technologies
- Experience converting Figma designs into functional web interfaces
- Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and system integration
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub
- Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Strong attention to layout, usability, and visual detail
- Ability to understand requirements and translate them into working interfaces
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and AI development tools
- Experience with Tailwind CSS, component libraries, Supabase, or frontend deployment would be an advantage
- Experience building personal, academic, freelance, or internship projects would be an advantage
