GENERAL INFO:
The Franchising Manager/ Sr. Manager- Vietnam market manages the franchising operations of the brand within the Vietnam market. The position will be responsible for expanding the brand's presence nationwide through the establishment of successful franchising partnerships, including identification of potential locations and markets, recruitment and selection of qualified franchisees and business partners, and effective implementation of franchising operation strategies across both existing and new stores.
JOB INFO:
KRA 1: Franchise Strategy Development
- Develops the long-term strategies and roadmap to ensure the growth and effective management of the franchise business network in Viet Nam market.
- Builds the franchising organization and provides strategic directions in creating a robust franchising system aligned with the current and emerging needs of the business.
- Conducts comprehensive market research to identify potential areas for Vietnamese franchising.
- Analyzes market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to develop effective franchise expansion strategies.
KRA 2: Franchise Recruitment and Selection
- Identifies and recruits prospective franchisees in target markets. Maintains a pool of franchisees for new markets based on the franchise eligibility criteria of JFC.
- Evaluates franchise applications, conducts interviews, and assesses candidates suitability based on their financial capability, business experience, and alignment with the company's values and goals.
- Ensures comprehensive briefing of new franchisees for new markets.
KRA 3: Franchise Agreement and Compliance
- Develops franchise agreements and negotiates terms and conditions with potential franchisees.
- Ensures compliances with legal and regulatory requirements of Viet Nam laws, regulations, and intellectual property rights.
- Collaborates with Legal and Ethics and local legal teams / consultants to address any legal issues that may arise in local franchising operations.
- Provides inputs and recommendations to the development / enhancement of the JFC franchise agreement. Initiates customization for Viet Nam market, when necessary
KRA 4: Franchise Development, Performance Management, and Engagement
- Coordinates with relevant internal Units to ensure franchise partners receive adequate onboarding, operational alignment, and ongoing support in line with brand standards.
- Monitors and evaluates overall franchise performance nationwide through collaboration with internal Units, identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion readiness.
Provides inputs to enhance or customize franchising policies, systems, and performance frameworks to address the unique needs of the Vietnam market.
KRA 5: National Expansion Strategy
- Develops and executes a strategic plan for national expansion, including market prioritization, entry strategies, and growth targets.
- Assesses potential risks and opportunities associated with entering new local markets.
- Provides guidance and directions on the development of an effective domestic franchising business model (i.e. franchise arrangements, criteria for awarding franchise grants, life of franchise agreement, territory management, etc.).
- Reviews and recommends necessary changes/improvements on the domestic franchising business model that will ensure sustainable business growth.
KRA 6: Stakeholder Management
- Manages relationship with internal and/or external franchise organizations, to promote the brand's franchising business, attract and recruit potential franchise partners.
- Fosters strong relationships with existing franchisees, ensuring effective communication, and addressing their concerns or issues promptly.
- Establishes regular communication channels and organize franchisee conferences or meetings to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Collaborates with various internal departments, including finance, marketing, operations, and legal, to align local franchising activities with overall company objectives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferably 8-10 years experience in franchising business, quick service restaurant (QSR) operations internal communications field.
- Strong experience and wide connections, especially in Retail and F&B, (Investment or M&A field could be considered)
- In-depth knowledge of franchising models, regulations, and best practices, including a strong understanding of franchising laws and legal requirements in Vietnam
- Business development mindset
- Strong understanding of Vietnam's business environment and consumer behavior.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools.
