We are a small team of passionate engineers who care deeply about creating high-quality products that people genuinely love to use. We are looking for a Founding Senior/Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer to join us on this journey and help build the future of work.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, highly influential role. You will work closely with the founders, shape core architecture, and define how the platform evolves in its earliest stages. Our environment is intentionally fast-moving and ambiguous, and it rewards people who take initiative, think from first principles, and care deeply about what they build.
You will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and optimizing critical parts of our product across the stack. You will write high-quality code, make key technical decisions, and contribute directly to the architecture and evolution of the platform. Whether your experience comes from designing systems at scale in larger companies or building and scaling products from the ground up in startups, we would love to hear your story.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with founders and engineers to shape architecture, technical direction, and product evolution from the earliest stages.
- Own engineering execution end to end across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and production systems.
- Architect, design, develop, and launch critical product features and platform capabilities.
- Build scalable, reliable, secure, efficient, and maintainable systems that support product growth.
- Drive technical excellence through strong engineering standards, processes, and best practices.
- Improve code quality, developer velocity, system reliability, and operational effectiveness.
- Take ownership of production quality, performance, stability, and observability.
- Contribute across the stack as a self-directed generalist, picking up whatever problem is most important and solving it well.
- Evaluate and evolve system architecture to support new products, features, and scale.
- Help define and foster a high-performance engineering culture rooted in ownership, craftsmanship, speed, and care for users.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and leadership to turn ambiguous ideas into high-quality shipped experiences.
Skills & Experience
- 5-10 years of full-stack engineering experience, ideally in high-velocity product environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, systems thinking, and attention to detail.
- Strong full-stack expertise across modern web technologies, especially Postgres, Golang, Python, React, and cloud infrastructure.
- Proven ability to architect and build high-quality software systems end to end.
- Deep understanding of modern software architecture patterns, such as microservices, event-driven systems, domain-driven design, serverless systems, and clean architecture.
- Strong experience building high-performance, scalable SaaS systems with attention to reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Proven track record of working on complex systems and delivering robust, production-grade software.
- Experience operating in zero-to-one or early-stage environments, with a bias toward action and shipping.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with evolving priorities and limited structure.
- Strong product mindset and ability to balance technical quality with speed and user impact.
- Clear and effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
