Job Description

Main Duties:

The Growth & Commercial Excellence Manager serves as the strategic arm of the Food team, reporting directly to the Head of Food. This role bridges the gap between tactical campaign execution and long-term business strategy, with direct accountability for P&L optimization, growth initiatives, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Define quarterly growth strategy and aligning OKRs for Food Vertical
  • Own P&L accountability and burn rate optimization
  • Lead annual and quarterly planning processes
  • Set performance targets and monitor team KPIs

Commercial Excellence:

  • Design and oversee driver incentive schemes & user promotion
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis
  • Optimize promotion ROI and budget allocation
  • Develop pricing and commission strategies

Journey Optimization:

  • Own end-to-end user, driver, and merchant journey optimization
  • Identify friction points and improvement opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve conversion
  • Drive Request-to-Complete rate from 94% to 98%+

Cross-functional Leadership:

  • Interface with Marketplace, Operations, and BD teams
  • Resolve execution-strategy conflicts and disputes
  • Represent Food Commercial in leadership meetings
  • Align incentives across functional boundaries

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and develop 2 Growth Senior Specialists
  • Coach team on analytical and strategic thinking
  • Build capabilities in data-driven decision making
  • Foster culture of commercial excellence

Requirements:

Experience:

  • 6-8+ years experience in growth, strategy, or commercial roles
  • Minimum 3 years in food delivery, e-commerce, or marketplace platforms
  • Proven track record in P&L management and budget ownership
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree prefers in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication
  • Strategic thinking with operational execution capability

Leadership:

  • Experience managing high-performing teams
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Demonstrated success in matrix organizations
