Main Duties:
The Growth & Commercial Excellence Manager serves as the strategic arm of the Food team, reporting directly to the Head of Food. This role bridges the gap between tactical campaign execution and long-term business strategy, with direct accountability for P&L optimization, growth initiatives, and cross-functional coordination.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Define quarterly growth strategy and aligning OKRs for Food Vertical
- Own P&L accountability and burn rate optimization
- Lead annual and quarterly planning processes
- Set performance targets and monitor team KPIs
Commercial Excellence:
- Design and oversee driver incentive schemes & user promotion
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and market analysis
- Optimize promotion ROI and budget allocation
- Develop pricing and commission strategies
Journey Optimization:
- Own end-to-end user, driver, and merchant journey optimization
- Identify friction points and improvement opportunities
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve conversion
- Drive Request-to-Complete rate from 94% to 98%+
Cross-functional Leadership:
- Interface with Marketplace, Operations, and BD teams
- Resolve execution-strategy conflicts and disputes
- Represent Food Commercial in leadership meetings
- Align incentives across functional boundaries
Team Leadership:
- Manage and develop 2 Growth Senior Specialists
- Coach team on analytical and strategic thinking
- Build capabilities in data-driven decision making
- Foster culture of commercial excellence
Requirements:
Experience:
- 6-8+ years experience in growth, strategy, or commercial roles
- Minimum 3 years in food delivery, e-commerce, or marketplace platforms
- Proven track record in P&L management and budget ownership
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives
Education:
- Bachelor's degree prefers in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
Skills:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication
- Strategic thinking with operational execution capability
Leadership:
