Job responsibilities:
- Create asset and tool codes and provide the codes to relevant departments.
- Control the recording of asset-related expenses to ensure they are appropriate, complete, and recorded in the correct period.
- Accumulate costs and transfer assets upon completion and commissioning.
- Provide remaining value of assets upon asset liquidation and coordinate asset transfers within the system.
- Calculate depreciation expenses and allocate expenses related to assets.
- Coordinate with departments to conduct ad-hoc and annual periodic asset physical counts.
- Prepare reports related to assets: asset disclosures, capitalization of borrowing costs, depreciation reports for budgeting, models, etc.
- Review the quality of division's data related to asset master data management.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in asset or fixed asset accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), especially as they relate to fixed assets.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
