About the Role

We are looking for a Frontend + LLM Product Engineer in Vietnam who wants real ownership and intensity.

Not a traditional backend engineer.

Not a pure researcher.

Not a ticket-closer.

We want a hacker and builder. You will not be a small cog in a large machine. You will help define how this product evolves.

This is a fast-moving, high ownership role. You will be our 1st engineer in Vietnam and a foundational part of our long-term presence here.

We operate at very high intensity. 70+ hours and 6+ days per week is normal for us. This is not seasonal. This is how we build. If you are optimizing for balance first, this is not the right role for you.

Role mission

Design and ship AI-native web and mobile experiences that combine world-class frontend craft with real-world LLM systems, helping us take an AI-native product used by global customers from early traction to real scale.

You will:

- Build beautiful, fast, production-grade frontend systems

- Architect and integrate LLM workflows into product flows

- Own features end-to-end, from idea to shipped code

- Define how AI features are surfaced and integrated into core product workflows

- Continuously improve the quality, reliability, and UX of AI-powered features in production

Role outcomes

- Within the first two weeks:

- Understand customers, product, UX philosophy, tech stack & AI architecture

- Familiarize yourself with the codebase, internal tools, and services

- Ship meaningful code, including at least 1 feature

- Within 45 days:

- Own full features across frontend and LLM logic

- Improve UX polish and system responsiveness

- Propose improvements to AI workflows

- Within 90 days:

- Architect and ship major AI-powered product flows

- Take responsibility for performance, reliability, and LLM evaluation workflows

- Improve our team workflows to be more efficient and productive

- Within Year 1

- Help build the Vietnam engineering core

- Raise the bar on frontend craft and AI-native thinking

- Lead major product surfaces across web and mobile

- Travel occasionally to meet customers globally

- Always

- Talk directly to users around the world

- Ship fast

- Iterate

- Maintain high standards for reliability and stability

Our tech stack

- AI: OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Cursor, evaluation pipelines

- Frontend: React, React Native, Vite, Tailwind

- Backend: NodeJS, Express, Postgres, AWS

- Analytics: Posthog, Sentry

YOU:

- Have 3 to 6 years of experience building real products end-to-end

- Have built and shipped things outside of your job simply because you were curious, and can show us what you made

- Have built things outside of your job simply because you were curious

- Think like a product owner, not just an implementer, and care about the customer and business

- Are extremely strong in React and modern frontend frameworks

- Care deeply about UX, speed, and polish

- Have built real features using LLM APIs in production, not just demos

- Understand prompt design, context management, evaluation, and failure handling in production systems

- Want your code to have impact and you're a self-motivated super hard worker

- Are excited to work both fully remotely and occasionally in person

- Live in Ho Chi Minh City and are excited to be based there long-term

Bonus points if you:

- Have worked at a major SEA product company such as Shopee, Lazada, Tiki, Grab, Gojek, VNG, Zalo, MoMo, or a high-growth startup

- Have prior experience in B2B SaaS, fashion tech, or e-commerce

- Have an eye for design and/or a sense of craftsmanship.

- Are a curious world citizen with empathy for other cultures and/or speak 2+ languages.

- Have built personal AI tools, bots, SaaS, or internal productivity systems

- Have contributed to open source
