ROLE OVERVIEW
- The FP&A Specialist plays a critical role in supporting business decision-making through financial planning, performance analysis, and cost management.
- This position works closely with Finance Management and Operations teams to analyze logistics cost structures, evaluate business performance, and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency and profitability.
- This role is designed for candidates with hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain, e-commerce, or operational finance environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Prepare and manage annual budget, forecast, and rolling forecast
- Monitor business performance against plan and forecast assumptions
- Support long-term financial planning initiatives
Financial Analysis & Performance Management
- Analyze P&L, cost structure, and unit economics across hubs, routes, regions, or business units
- Conduct variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast) and identify root causes
- Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to Finance Management and Business stakeholders
Logistics Cost & Operational Analysis
- Analyze logistics-related costs including linehaul, last-mile delivery, hub operations, and overhead
- Identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities across the supply chain
- Support productivity and efficiency analysis in collaboration with Operations teams
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Develop and maintain management reports and dashboards using Excel and BI tools
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data
- Support ad-hoc analysis for business and management requests
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Business, and other Finance functions
- Act as a finance partner to support operational decision-making
- Communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Background
- 25 years of experience in FP&A, Financial Analyst, Business Finance, or Management Accounting
- Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, e-commerce, retail, or FMCG is strongly preferred
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel (financial modeling, large datasets)
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus
- Solid understanding of P&L analysis, cost structure, and unit economics

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work with large volumes of operational data
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
NOT A FIT IF YOU ARE PRIMARILY FROM
- Financial accounting, tax, or bookkeeping roles without FP&A exposure
- Roles with limited involvement in business performance analysis or operations
